Yard Art

Posted by Tanille

Our little yard is probably twice the size of our little trailer.  It is our sanctuary and where we spend most of our time, when the weather permits.  When we moved in it was a wreck, but I knew it had potential, and now it’s my favorite space.

I like to look at the yard as another room and an extension of our home.  And this yard needed some help.  The neighbor behind us had used some sort of plastic sheet to cover a view into our yard.  So this was our solution:

It doesn’t matter what your neighbors may do, with a little creativity you can fix it.  James painted this one afternoon from scraps of wood that he found.  I love it!  I don’t know why it took us 2 years to cover that ugly plastic sheet!

Here are more pictures that he has painted that I loved but didn’t have room for inside.

And my favorite. . .

At first I was a little offended by the question mark, but he says it’s supposed to be “funny”…  hmmm.  Anyway, I love adding character to our yard and I want people to feel instantly at ease when they walk through our gate.  I want them to know that they can expect a beverage of their choice and maybe even some “fine dining?”.

By the way, if your garden is needing some sprucing and you live in our area send James an email at jlealins@gmail.com and he will hook you up with some yard art!

About trailerchic

Somehow I ended up in a single-wide trailer, in Reno, Nevada. And somehow I love it. Here is where I tell my story about my trailer, and my passion for small space living, photography, travelling, and running.
