A Touch of Spring

Posted by Rebecca

This time of year the weather can be very weird.  Today is supposed to be 70 degrees, Thursday is supposed to be 43.  One day shorts, the next a jacket.  It’s challenging to dress right, and its a precarious balance trying to keep the trailer temperature at a livable level – heat in the morning, open windows during the day, heat in the evening.

But spring is unmistakably here.  Crocuses are forcing their heads out of the dirt in search of sun and warmth, hyacinths are brightening otherwise dull flower beds, trees are heavy with blossoms, and Trader Joe’s is selling bunches of daffodils for $1.29.

Even with the sporadic chilly day, or the more common icy breeze, this time of year fills me with happiness, because spring has officially sprung and summer is practically within reach.
