I Will Be Back Soon

Posted by Rebecca

I just wanted to check in, and let everyone know I’m still here.  I haven’t really been in the mood for writing much since Cassi died.  I’m trying to adjust to life without her.  She filled my home with such warmth and love, that it has left quite a void.

But I am doing ok.  I’m keeping busy and spending time with friends.  And I will be writing again soon.  🙂  Until then, here are some photos I’ve taken around town lately.  Enjoy.

  1. Cassi was, is and always will be apart of your life. You have so many wonderful memories of Cassi and I’m sure some great pictures! Remember the good times Rebecca, there are many. Smile. Like Beachmama said too, “we’ll still be here”.
    Happy New Year!

  2. I’m so very sorry you’ve lost your friend. My dogs are precious to me as well; they are family. They’d best all be wherever we go when we leave this life! I look forward to hearing from you whenever you feel it’s time.

  3. I’m so sorry- I lost my precious dog, too. She will always be in my heart. Shortly after her death I adopted two Westies ( 8 year old brother and sister, Westies) . I love them very much and they have helped with some of the pain

  4. I’m so very sorry about Cassi. I just found your blog today and read through many of your past posts. My God, she was a beautiful girl! She emanates such a sweetness and gentility. I can only imagine the hole in your life with her passing. You two were a dynamic duo. I hope time helps. Thank you for your lovely and heartfelt blog.

  5. Dear Rebecca, I stumbled upon your blog and have enjoyed reading your posts. I am so sorry and sad for your loss of Cassi. I am an animal person and have been in your place several times. These words of Tennyson have always comforted me when I have lost a pet. “I hold it true, whate’er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; ‘Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.” I hope they comfort you in some small way. May God bless and keep you.

  6. My sympathies – I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a beloved pet. You no doubt gave her a wonderful life and will be together again someday. Take time to heal.
